Beltline - steel profiles
Customer understanding and years of dialog resulted in the manufacturing of a large-scale industrial cleaning system for a Russian company producing extruded steel profiles for the automotive industry.
The customer approached us on an exhibition in Germany in search of a cleaning system for the extruded steel profiles after manufacturing where they were contaminated with oil, because several of their customers were asking for the company to supply clean parts.
Cleaning and passivation of the parts itself wasn’t a challenge in this case, but instead the high volume and handling of the parts through the washer which made it a complex project even for the most experienced companies like us.
Because the system itself had to clean extruded steel profiles with about 6 – 8 different geometries, and lengths varying from 1,0 – 6,0 meters. Secondly, we were talking about volumes of about 6.000 – 8.000 kg pr. hour which had to be handled, cleaned, passivated and dried within a short amount of time.
After agreeing with the customer on the process, we started designing the system which would become a single-piece cleaning system with a chain conveyor based on our BELTLINE systems but on a much larger scale. The design, production and installation took less than a year, and the cleaning system was installed in Russia without any problems and within just 5 days the customer was up and running and haven’t experienced any issues since, which may be the case when looking at large customized projects in this price range.
